Year over year, children nationwide are getting injured, killed or otherwise physically harmed at summer camps, largely because of the following factors:
Willful or passive neglect by camp operators and staffers
Prioritizing profits over safe, healthy programming
Lack of operating experience
Lack of or ineffective training
Inadequate or unsafe facilities
Anemic or absent safety regulations
